Announce Ports to Host Star-Spangled Banner
and War of 1812 Bicentennial Celebrations

National events will be held in New Orleans, Norfolk, Baltimore, New York and Boston.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Operation Sail, Inc. (OpSail) and the U.S. Navy announce the participation of five historic U. S. ports in the 2012 events that will commemorate the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the birth of The Star-Spangled Banner. OpSail and the U.S. Navy will bring tall ships, naval vessels and the Blue Angels flight demonstration team to each port city, beginning in New Orleans in May 2012 and ending in Boston on July 4, 2012 in conjunction with the annual Harborfest celebration. I have read the schedule of OP Sail 2012 but still confuse for the first track (New Orleans-New York, April 24-23 May 2012)
Does it mean the tallship is going to sail for about 1 month?....

There are two ports inbetween, but I will check the venues as they may have been updated since thye original post. But, yes, it takes over a month to hit all the ports.
